IEPro are working with an established civil contractor to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of structural and civil infrastructure projects across Queensland.

The business has developed strong capability delivering technically challenging FRP, reinforced concrete and structural packages, with projects requiring engineers who understand construction methodology and enjoy being closely involved with site delivery.

This opportunity will suit a Project Engineer with genuine structures experience who wants to take greater ownership of project delivery and continue developing their technical, commercial and leadership capability.

The Opportunity

As Project Engineer, you will take responsibility for key structural work packages while working closely with Project Managers, Senior Project Engineers, Supervisors and site crews.

You will be involved across planning, procurement, programming, quality, commercial management and construction delivery, with a strong focus on ensuring structural works are properly planned and executed.

This is a hands-on engineering role where practical construction knowledge and an understanding of FRP and concrete works will be highly valued.

The Role

In this role, you will:

- Coordinate delivery of FRP, reinforced concrete and structural work packages
- Develop short-term programmes, lookaheads and construction sequences
- Review drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
- Coordinate formwork, reinforcement and concrete activities
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, plant and site resources
- Prepare and manage RFIs, ITPs, QA documentation and technical queries
- Support procurement and subcontractor management
- Monitor quantities, productivity, project costs and forecasting
- Assist with variations, progress claims and commercial reporting
- Ensure works comply with safety,



quality and environmental requirements
- Work closely with Supervisors and construction crews to achieve programme milestones
- Maintain solid relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders

About You

To succeed, you will bring:

- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven Project Engineer experience within Australian civil construction
- Strong experience delivering structural concrete or FRP works
- Practical understanding of formwork, reinforcement and concrete construction
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and construction work fronts
- Strong planning and construction sequencing capability
- Understanding of QA systems, ITPs and project documentation
- Commercial awareness including procurement, forecasting and cost control
- Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to project delivery
