Vitalia's Italian Restaurant is now looking for an experienced Waiter to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for:
- Welcome customers, present menus and provide information about dishes, beverages and daily specials;
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the restaurant’s ordering system;
- Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining professional presentation and customer service standards;
- Explain menu items, ingredients and preparation methods and assist customers with dietary requirements or special requests;
- Set, explicit and reset tables before, during and after service;
- Monitor tables throughout service and respond promptly to customer requests;
- Liaise with kitchen and bar staff to ensure orders are prepared and delivered correctly and on time;
- Process customer payments and accurately handle cash, card and electronic transactions;
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of dining areas, service stations and front-of-house equipment;
- Follow food safety, hygiene, responsible service of alcohol and workplace health and safety procedures.
About you:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Waiter;
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment;
- Good organisation, attention to detail and time management skills;
- Sound knowledge of food and beverage service procedures and responsible service requirements.
