Maitland Hospital is seeking a Locum ED SRMO to support overnight Emergency Department coverage.

This role is suited to a doctor with recent Emergency Medicine experience who is confident working overnight, assessing ED presentations, supporting treatment plans, completing documentation and escalating concerns appropriately.

Clinical Setting:

Emergency Department SRMO role
Night shift cover, generally 23:00 – 09:00
Hospital-based locum position at Maitland Hospital
Supportive ED team environment with escalation pathways available

Key Duties:

Assess and manage ED presentations
Support treatment planning and patient flow
Complete clinical documentation and handover
Escalate clinical concerns appropriately
Work collaboratively with nursing and medical teams

Eligibility Criteria:

Current AHPRA Registration
Recent Emergency Medicine experience at SRMO level




Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work safely within scope and escalate appropriately
Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
