Our client is a not-for-profit health service operating a 30-bed sub-acute facility in regional Recent South Wales. The service runs an established Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) unit, giving you a defined, well-supported service line rather than a generalist caseload spread thin.
About the Position
A locum Geriatrician is needed to support the GEM unit for a clearly bounded three-week term. The role runs Monday to Friday during business hours, with some on-call, and you'll work alongside a Basic Physician Training (BPT) rotation, contributing to both patient care and registrar supervision. This is a genuinely finite placement, ideal if you want a short, well-defined block of locum work without an open-ended commitment.
Key Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration under the Medical Board of Australia
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent specialisation in geriatric medicine
- Current National Police Certificate
- Full working rights in Australia
- Willingness to contract on your own ABN
