An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior Façade Engineer to join its Sydney team.
With several offices across Australia and a strong reputation within the building engineering sector, the consultancy delivers a diverse portfolio of projects and offers the stability of a well-established national business alongside the accessible, collaborative culture of a mid-tier firm.

This opportunity would suit an experienced façade skilled who can confidently manage technical delivery, engage with clients and project stakeholders, and provide practical guidance throughout the design and construction process.

The role You will contribute to the design, assessment and delivery of façade packages across a range of building projects. Your responsibilities will include:

- Managing façade engineering projects from initial design through documentation and construction
- Providing specialist advice on façade systems, materials, performance and compliance
- Preparing detailed technical reports, including FP1.4 and weatherproofing reports
- Reviewing façade designs, shop drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Coordinating with clients, architects, builders and specialist subcontractors
- Guiding project stakeholders through façade design requirements from the early stages of a project
- Undertaking inspections, assessments and technical investigations where required
- Supporting less-experienced engineers and contributing to the continued development of the façade capability
- Maintaining a strong focus on technical quality,

About you To be considered, you will ideally bring:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering or a related discipline
- Approximately 10 years of façade engineering experience, preferably within Tier 1 or Tier 2 consulting environments
- A mandatory minimum of five years’ local Australian façade engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of Australian building standards, legislation and façade compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience preparing FP1.4 and weatherproofing reports
- Experience across curtain wall, Hebel cladding, masonry and waterproofing projects
- Broad knowledge of façade systems, including glazing, metal cladding, aluminium rainscreens, CFC façades, precast concrete panels, balustrades, louvres, shading systems and brick façades
- Familiarity with glazing suppliers and proprietary façade systems available within the Australian market
- The confidence to work directly with clients, architects, contractors and specialist suppliers
- High-level technical report writing and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong attention to detail
- A proactive approach, sound initiative and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude
