Direct Care Resources is seeking compassionate, dependable and experienced Support Workers across the Logan and Ipswich regions.

You will support people accessing Disability Services and Child Safety services to feel secure, maintain everyday routines, build independence, participate in their communities and work towards goals that are meaningful to them.

About Direct Care Resources

For more than 28 years, Direct Care Resources has supported people with complex care needs across South East Queensland.
We provide Supported Independent Living, disability support and Child Safety services, with a strong focus on safety, service quality and meaningful relationships.

As a Support Worker, you may support people living with physical, intellectual or psychosocial disability, as well as children and young people in out-of-home care.

Locations
Opportunities are available across Logan and Ipswich, including:

- Springfield and Springfield Lakes
- Redbank Plains, Goodna and Riverview
- Brassall and Ipswich
- Forest Lake and Browns Plains
- Crestmead, Marsden, Kingston and Logan Central

Travel across the region may be required depending on participant needs and available shifts.

What You’ll Do

As a Support Worker, you will:

- Support everyday living activities, including personal care, household tasks, meal preparation and healthy routines
- Assist people to attend school,



appointments, recreational activities and community outings
- Build trusted and respectful relationships while maintaining skilled boundaries
- Apply person-centred and trauma-informed approaches to support emotional wellbeing
- Respond appropriately to individual behavioural and complex support needs
- Administer medication in accordance with policies, procedures and individual support plans
- Complete shift notes, handovers and incident reports accurately and professionally
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other stakeholders to provide consistent support

About You

You understand that quality support is built through patience, consistency and respect.
You can remain calm under pressure, communicate confidently and adapt your approach to meet individual needs. You are comfortable working independently while staying connected with your broader team.
You will also:

- Bring a genuine commitment to participant safety, choice and wellbeing
- Be adaptable across different participants and support environments
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate reliability, sound judgement and professional boundaries
- Be available for a range of shifts, including weekends, sleepovers, overnight shifts and varied roster patterns

Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be considered, you must hold,



be completing or be enrolled in a minimum Certificate IV qualification in:

- Community Services
- Disability
- Youth Work
- Mental Health
- A closely related field

You will also require:

- A current Queensland Open or P2 Driver Licence
- A reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance
- Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A valid Blue Card
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Child Safety Division LCS2 Clearance
