The company
My client is a well-established organisation within the aged care sector, with many locations around the ACT, providing residential, community and home care since the mid 1900’s. The organisation are reputable for their work/life balanced culture and many educational advantages.
The role:
Working as a Clinical Nurse, you will be providing high-quality clinical support to residents whilst also providing leadership to your team. You will ensure that all services and care are delivered to meet legislated standards and organisational policies.
Your duties:
- Manage your team and priorities throughout the day
- Completing clinical assessments,
care planning and case management reviews
- Identify specific medical, emergency, or allied health interventions
- Ensure high quality documentation is completed when necessary
- Ensure quality nursing care is provided to residents
Skills and Experience:
- Current AHPRA registration & drivers’ licence
- Experience working as a Registered Nurse in Australia, ideally working with older people
- Experience in palliative care, wound care and falls management
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Knowledge of advance care planning is desirable
