About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Glazier to join our team in Perth, Western Australia, on a full time, permanent basis.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the installation, replacement, repair and maintenance of glass and glazing products across residential and commercial projects.

Demonstrated experience working with aluminium glazing systems is an essential requirement for this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Measure, cut, fit and install glass and glazing products according to specifications.
- Install and replace glass in windows, doors, shopfronts and other structures.
- Install glass into aluminium framing and aluminium window and door systems.
- Manufacture, assemble and install aluminium-framed glazing systems.
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and job specifications.
- Take accurate measurements and calculate materials required for glazing work.
- Prepare glass, aluminium frames and other materials for installation.
- Cut, shape and fit glass using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Install and secure glass using appropriate glazing techniques, seals, fittings and hardware.
- Remove damaged or broken glass safely and prepare areas for replacement.
- Install and adjust aluminium doors, windows, frames and associated glazing components.
- Inspect completed installations to ensure correct fit, alignment, finish and safety.
- Identify defects,



damage or installation issues and carry out necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Work safely with glass, aluminium, hand tools and specialised glazing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Liaise with supervisors, builders, contractors and other trades as required.
- Complete work to project specifications, required standards and agreed timeframes.
- Relevant trade qualification in Glazing or equivalent relevant trade experience.
- Demonstrated professional experience as a Glazier.
- Proven hands-on experience with aluminium glazing systems, including aluminium frames, windows and doors.
- Experience measuring, cutting, fitting and installing glass.
- Experience installing glass into aluminium framing.
- Ability to read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.
- Ability to accurately measure and calculate materials.
- Good knowledge of glazing tools, equipment, materials and installation methods.
- Ability to work safely with glass and aluminium products.
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a construction environment.

Essential Skills And Experience Desirable

- Experience in commercial glazing and/or shopfront installation.
- Experience working with different types of glass and glazing systems.
- Australian work experience or knowledge of Australian construction practices.
