South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt.

About the Region
The South BurnettRegion is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. The region is home to the stunning Bunya Mountains, where you can enjoy spectacular rainforest walks, nights by the fire in hidden chalets and the best scenic views Queensland has to offer. About the role

Permanent Full Time
$77K - $81K per annum + Allowances + Super
Council is seeking a Grants Administration Officer to provide specialist advice and support of Council’s grant processes and works in conjunction with leadership teams to identify prospects to maximise grant revenue through strategic project selection and high-quality application preparation. This role will assist with the development and implementation of Council’s grants strategy and management framework. Develop, implement and evaluate a comprehensive grant strategy to support Council’s objectives to maximise revenue. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience in the preparation of funding applications, report writing,
submissions and grant processes including demonstrated practical experience in liaising with various community groups and external stakeholders.
Mandatory Qualifications
Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence.
Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in Local Government funding programs
Certificate III in Business Administration

Skills and experience
**Please address the following key selection criteria items below, as part of your application**
- 1.Previous experience in the administration of grants programs and/or project delivery involving community groups and external stakeholders.
- 2.Previous experience in an administration support role providing executive level assistance with a high level of attention to detail.
- 3.High level organisational skills including the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines.
- 4. Proven ability to monitor budgets, undertake finance responsibilities in the administration of grants or other project programs.
- 5.Sound level of computer skills including previous experience in MS Office Suite and the ability to acquire knowledge of Council’s corporate software systems.
