Dental Assistant (Surgical) – Part-Time & Casual

We are seeking a highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our supportive perioperative team on a part-time or casual basis, this role is well suited to someone with experience in oral and maxillofacial, implant or other dental surgical procedures.

About the Role

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will play an significant role in supporting surgical services and ensuring the highest standards of patient care, infection control, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Assisting the surgical team during dental and oral surgical procedures
- Preparation and set-up of operating theatres and procedure rooms
- Instrument processing, sterilisation, and tracking in accordance with Australian Standards
- Maintaining infection prevention and control standards
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

- Previous experience in dental surgery, oral surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery
- Solid knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques
- Experience in sterilisation and infection control processes
- The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Desirable Qualifications

- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent experience
