We’re launching a brand‑new hose and fittings workshop in Beerwah and we’re looking for a Workshop Manager who can be the face of our business. This is a unique role combining customer service, relationship building, and hands‑on hydraulic hose assembly.

Strong mechanical knowledge, experience with implementing systems and leadership experience are essential.

If you’re mechanically minded, confident with hydraulics, and enjoy working directly with customers, this is a chance to help shape a workshop from day one — with great remuneration for the right candidate.

About Us

Sunshine Coast Hose & Fittings is a locally owned hydraulic hose repair business servicing the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. We support customers across earthmoving, civil, transport, agriculture, constructionand quarrying with fast, reliable onsite repairs. As demand grows, we’re seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to join our team.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing leadership role at our brand‑new Beerwah workshop, where you’ll be the person customers rely on for expert advice, friendly service and fast, accurate hydraulic solutions. As our Workshop Manager, you’ll greet customers, understand their needs, and build robust relationships that keep them coming back. You’ll take pride in representing our business professionally and creating a welcoming, reliable workshop environment.

Beyond the day‑to‑day technical work, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the workshop operates. You’ll help create,



refine and implement systems and processes that support efficiency, safety and growth. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building a business alongside us — someone who brings ideas, takes initiative, and genuinely wants to be part of our long‑term success. You’ll be trusted to manage your day, communicate clearly with customers, and deliver high‑quality workmanship every time. You will also be expected to autonomously engage with new clients and businesses generating work and new business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

- Be the face of our Beerwah workshop — greeting customers, understanding their needs and building strong, ongoing relationships
- Perform hydraulic hose repairs and replacements both in the workshop and onsite
- Diagnose hydraulic and mechanical issues across a range of machinery
- Manage day‑to‑day workshop operations, ensuring a clean, organised and safe workspace
- Provide professional customer service and clear communication
- Maintain stock levels, tools, workshop organisation and equipment readiness
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
- Accurately complete job notes, invoices, and service documentation
- Create, refine and implement workshop systems and processes that support efficiency,



consistency and business growth
- Work closely with the owners to identify opportunities, improve workflows and contribute to the long‑term growth of the business

What We're Looking For

Essential

- Solid experience with hydraulics and hydraulic hose assembly
- Strong thread and parts identification skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence working hands‑on in a workshop
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of customer interaction
- Someone who takes pride in their workmanship, reliability and presentation
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and make decisions
- Proven leadership experience — able to guide a small team, set standards and take ownership of the workshop
- Passion for helping grow the business alongside us
- Ability to create, refine and implement workshop systems and processes
- Organised, tidy and committed to maintaining a safe, efficient workspace
- A team player who brings ideas, initiative and a positive attitude

- Ability to pass D&A; screening at all times whilst at work
- Australian work rights required for this position

Highly Regarded

- Experience with earthmoving, transport, agricultural, or industrial machinery
- Hydraulic cylinder repair experience
- Relevant tickets (White Card, Coal Board Medical / MMQ Medical.)
- Current Medium Rigid driver’s license
- Forklift licence
