- Location – Parramatta – Flexible working available
- Employment type – Temporary full-time to 30 June 2027 with possibility of extension
- Salary – $120,859 to $146,945 pa plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Are you a strategic thinker, analytical, with proven stakeholder skills and attention to detail? Do you have a passion for optimising workforce efficiency? Working with a supportive team, you will be leading the planning, forecasting, and real-time management of our IT project workforce at the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ). In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time at optimal cost —maximising productivity while maintaining exceptional service levels.

What you’ll do

You’ll partner with Program Managers, Project Managers, Project Team Members, Support Teams, and senior leadership to align staffing strategies with business goals, using data-driven insights and understanding of the people request and demand requirements to enable project success, while driving and delivering continuous improvement.

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism, diplomacy, and impartiality.
- Experience managing large and diverse workforces across multiple programs, portfolios, or business units, balancing operational requirements with strategic workforce objectives.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of workforce data, resource allocations, reporting, and planning activities while managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to balance big-picture workforce planning with day-to-day operational resource management and issue resolution.
- Experience using workforce data, utilisation metrics, and resource insights to inform decision-making, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement.
- Proven capability in managing workforce risks, resource constraints, and competing demands while maintaining stakeholder confidence and delivery outcomes.
