About the role

The Public Area & Residential Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the building's shared spaces and cleaning within apartments as required. This role includes routine cleaning, waste removal, restocking supplies, and promptly addressing spills, hazards, and maintenance concerns.

Key responsibilities

- Clean and disinfect lobbies, corridors, lifts, stairwells, entrances, pool areas, and other shared spaces.
- Clean and sanitise public toilets, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, fixtures, floors, and partitions.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and spot-clean floors, carpets, walls, windows, doors, and other surfaces.
- Empty rubbish and recycling bins, replace liners, and transfer waste to designated disposal areas.
- Dust and wipe furniture, handrails, skirting boards, signs, ledges, and high-touch surfaces.




- Restock toilet paper, soap, paper towels, sanitiser, and other consumable supplies.
- Clean glass doors, mirrors, windows, and stainless-steel surfaces.
- Respond promptly to spills, stains, unpleasant odours, and urgent cleaning requests.
- Inspect public areas regularly and report damage, safety hazards, pest activity, or maintenance issues.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and according to instructions.

About you

- Previous commercial, residential, hotel, hospital, or facility-cleaning experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe chemical handling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently, follow schedules, and prioritise urgent tasks.
- Reliable, punctual, professional, and respectful.
- Valuable communication skills and ability to report issues clearly.
- Ability to work around building occupants with minimal disruption.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or public holidays when required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and carry cleaning supplies and equipment up to 15-20 kg.
