St. Michael’s College Caboolture, is seeking passionate and enthusiastic applicants to apply for the position of classroom teacher within our College for the start of the 2027 school year. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with their teaching team, to provide our students with opportunities and skills that prepare them for successful lifelong learning, in a society undergoing rapid growth and change. As a classroom teacher, you will be responsible for the explicit teaching of all key learning areas of the Australian Curriculum, to a class of students (Prep-Year 6), at St. Michael’s College.

Responsible to: Principal / Deputy Principal

Responsibilities/Duties related to the position include, but are not limited to the following:

Teaching and Curriculum: Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students in Prep - Year 6. You will be responsible for creating a supportive learning environment, differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs and using technology effectively. You will also participate in collaborative planning and curriculum development.

Student Wellbeing: Provide pastoral care and a secure, nurturing environment for all students. You'll use positive behaviour management strategies and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents as needed.

Communication and Administration: Maintain accurate student records,



write reports and communicate effectively with parents and staff. You will also attend meetings and complete administrative tasks, such as risk assessments for school events.

Professionalism: Show a commitment to continuous professional development and adhere to all school policies and procedures, including the code of conduct and dress code. You will act as a positive representative of the college within the wider community.
