Parts Interpreter / Store Person – Heavy Vehicle Workshop

Full-Time Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Parts Interpreter / Store Person to join our busy heavy vehicle road transport workshop. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes genuine pride in their workspace and enjoys creating order, structure and efficiency.

About the Role

This role is critical to the smooth operation of our workshop. You will be responsible for managing the store, ensuring parts and consumables are organised, accurate and readily available to support our technicians.

Over the next 12 months, we will be relocating to a new depot. This role will play a key part in that transition — maintaining control of all inventory, coordinating the movement of parts and setting up a well-structured, efficient store from the ground up at the new site.

You will also be involved in implementing and maintaining our TMT IT platform, including importing and structuring parts data.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain a clean, organised and productive workshop store

- Reorganise and optimise parts storage systems for accessibility and efficiency

- Take full ownership and accountability of the store area

- Receive, check, and process incoming parts and deliveries accurately

- Pick and issue parts to workshop staff efficiently

- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and assist with stocktakes





- Build strong working relationships with suppliers and workshop teams

- Support the upcoming depot relocation by tracking, managing and re-establishing all parts and inventory

- Assist with the setup and ongoing management of the TMT IT platform, including importing and maintaining parts data

What We’re Looking For

- Strong attention to detail and a natural drive for order and consistency

- Pride in maintaining a structured, tidy and high-functioning workspace

- A high level of ownership and accountability for your area

- Experience as a Store Person, ideally in heavy vehicle, automotive or transport environments

- Understanding of parts, workshop operations and inventory control

- Ability to build rapport with suppliers and internal teams

- Competent computer skills and experience with inventory systems

- Experience with TMT IT platform highly regarded (or ability to learn quickly)
