We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Automotive Sales Professional to join our team as an Assistant Sales Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Consultant looking to take the next step in their career, or an existing Assistant Sales Manager looking to further develop their leadership skills within a growing dealership.

This is a hands‑on sales leadership position, and the successful candidate will be expected to still actively sell vehicles and contribute personally to the department's sales targets, while also supporting, coaching and motivating the wider sales team.

Working closely with the Sales Manager and senior dealership leadership, you will play an important role in driving the performance of the Sales Department, supporting the sales team and ensuring our customers receive an exceptional experience from enquiry through to delivery.

Assistant Sales Manager – Knox GWM

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Sales Manager with the day‑to‑day operation and performance of the Sales Department
- Maintain an active sales role
- Achieve and exceed your own individual sales targets while contributing to overall departmental targets
- Lead, motivate and support the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Assist with coaching, training and mentoring Sales Consultants
- Monitor individual and team performance and identify opportunities for improvement




- Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction
- Manage sales enquiries, negotiations and customer relationships
- Support effective sales processes and ensure dealership standards are consistently maintained
- Work closely with management to achieve departmental targets and profitability
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive, professional and high‑performing team culture

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

- Proven automotive sales experience with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience, or a solid desire to take the next step into management
- A genuine passion for selling and a proven ability to close deals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong sales, negotiation and customer service skills
- A confident, positive and inspiring leadership style
- The ability to motivate, coach and mentor a team
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A high level of initiative, professionalism and commitment to continuous improvement
- A current Australian driver's licence
