Stark Civil is building a senior leadership team to drive the delivery and growth of the business as it scales from around $5 million turnover towards $30 million over the coming years. The Construction Project Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the safe, high quality and commercially disciplined delivery of the Company's civil construction projects.

The role requires a high calibre professional who can lead project delivery from tender handover to completion, provide strong on site leadership and culture, build and develop the delivery team, and protect and improve project margins. As the business reaches its growth targets, the role is intended to progress into a Construction / Operations Director position.

Key Objectives

Lead and oversee the successful delivery of civil construction projects from tender handover to completion.

Provide strong on site leadership, culture and accountability across project teams.

Protect and improve project margins through disciplined delivery, cost and program management.

Build, mentor and develop the delivery team, including supervisors, engineers and site personnel.

Contribute to the long term strategic direction and scalability of the business.

1. Project Delivery Leadership

Manage and oversee multiple civil construction projects from commencement through to practical completion and finalisation.

Take full accountability for project performance across safety, quality, program, cost, client satisfaction and commercial outcomes.

Lead project planning, programming, resource allocation and execution strategies.





Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, approved budgets and company procedures.

Proactively monitor progress and address risks, delays, non conformances, subcontractor issues and cost overruns.

Provide clear site leadership, giving the team the autonomy, structure and support to deliver, backed by local consultants and a competent project engineer for quality assurance, including on Transport and Main Roads works.

2. Commercial and Contract Management

Own the commercial performance of projects, including cost control, forecasting, budget tracking and margin reporting.

Administer head contracts and subcontracts, and ensure variations, latent conditions, delays and scope changes are identified early, documented and commercially pursued.

Manage commercial risk across projects and work with leadership to protect quality, program and profitability.

3. Strategic Growth and Leadership

Contribute to the Company's growth strategy and help prepare the business for scale.

Help implement stronger systems, processes, controls and governance as the business expands.

Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety and delivery excellence.

Work hand in hand with the broader leadership team on planning, execution and delivery.





Experience and Qualifications

Extensive senior level experience in civil construction project and delivery management.

Proven ability to lead multiple projects and senior delivery teams.

Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and subcontracting practices.

Demonstrated success in improving project delivery, culture and profitability.

Solid knowledge of Queensland civil construction market conditions.

Current driver's licence. A relevant degree or diploma in civil engineering or construction management is preferred.

Remuneration and chance

The starting package sits between $170,000 and $250,000 per year plus superannuation, depending on experience, together with a fully maintained company vehicle. Beyond salary, this is a genuine leadership opportunity. For the right person, there is an earned pathway to becoming a shareholder in the business and to progressing into a Construction / Operations Director role as the company grows.
