The Constitutional Services team provides whole of government leadership and advice on constitutional matters and oversees the operation of the Executive Council.

How you'll contribute

In this influential role, you will:

- Lead a high-performing team that delivers critical constitutional, governance and executive government functions.
- Provide strategic and authoritative advice on constitutional, legislative and executive government matters to senior leaders across government.
- Build strong partnerships with agencies and stakeholders to support effective decision-making and the operation of the Executive Council.
- Oversee arrangements for key constitutional responsibilities of the Premier.
- Drive high standards of governance, integrity and legislative compliance.




- Manage sensitive records and information with the highest levels of professionalism and discretion.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented and high-performing team culture.

What you'll bring to the role

We are looking for a capable and adaptable leader who can operate confidently in a complex and politically aware environment. You will bring:

- Experience leading teams and delivering outcomes through others.
- Strong policy, governance, legal, corporate or public administration experience.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and complex administrative frameworks.
- Exceptional written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound judgement, resilience and an ability to manage competing priorities.

Experience in constitutional or executive government processes will be highly regarded. However, we also encourage applications from candidates with transferable experience in policy development, governance, legislative administration, legal practice, Cabinet, ministerial or executive support functions, or other senior public sector leadership roles.
