Job Title: Head of Logistics

Salary range: $180,100.00 - $200,000.00 + Superannuation

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Head of Logistics to lead our end-to-end supply chain, from farm to customer. This senior role combines strategy, team leadership, and hands‑on execution to ensure on‑time, cost‑efficient, and compliant product flow for our perishable farming operations.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and execute the end‑to‑end logistics strategy aligned with growth goals.
- Lead and develop the logistics, warehousing, and distribution teams; foster a safety‑ and performance‑driven culture.
- Plan demand and inventory with production, manage cold‑chain logistics, and optimize stock levels.
- Oversee inbound/outbound transportation, carrier selection, rate negotiation, routing, and last‑mile delivery.
- Ensure food safety, product traceability, labelling, and regulatory compliance (Australian standards).




- Implement and optimize ERP/WMS/TMS solutions; leverage data to drive continuous improvement.
- Monitor KPIs (OTIF, order accuracy, transport cost per unit, inventory turns, spoilage, safety).

Qualifications

- 3-5+ years in logistics/supply chain with leadership experience; experience in agriculture/food supply chain, logistics, or a related field
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; proficient with ERP/WMS/TMS systems.
- Knowledge of Australian food safety/regulatory requirements; experience with perishable goods is a plus.
