The Position

Implement protective security support services within the company’s national Protective Security Office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Solve complex operational challenges by applying subject matter expertise across the range of protective security disciplines including:
- Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Information Security
- Technology/Communications Security
- Physical Security
- Lead a small team in the delivery of objective based protective security services aligned to Australian Government security requirements.
- Assist with the implementation of security measures required to maintain various external security licences and accreditations.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members in the application of established security policy and procedures.
- Contribute to the production, review and update of internal security policies/procedures/instructions.
- Contribute to the preparation of budgets and the management of security related expenditure in an efficient manner within approved budgets and delegations.

Our Ideal Candidate:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within a Commonwealth, Defence, Defence Industry or analogous environments.
- General physical and personnel security administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Sound operational knowledge of:
- Commonwealth Protective Security Policy
- Defence Security Policy
- Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) clearance processes.

- Eligible to maintain an AGSVA clearance – Top Secret Positive Vetting
- ITAR – This position requires employees to access equipment and data that is subject to U.S International Traffic and Arms Regulation (ITAR). As such, applicants must disclose the following information at the time of application.
