We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging mature female Support Worker to support a 53-year-old gentleman living with an acquired brain injury and type 2 diabetes. This role focuses on community access, companionship, and domestic assistance while supporting him to maintain his independence and enjoy the activities he loves.

About the client

He is a friendly and caring gentleman with a fantastic sense of humour who believes in treating everyone with kindness and respect, regardless of their background or ethnicity. He enjoys connecting with people, sharing a laugh, and spending time out in the community when feeling motivated and engaged. One of his greatest passions is motorcycles, and he proudly rides a Striker 1300. He also enjoys embracing life's straightforward pleasures, including dancing in the rain, and getting out and about to explore the community.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide support with:

- Community access and social outings
- Attending appointments and local activities
- Building confidence and encouraging independence
- Light domestic assistance and household tasks
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Supporting him to pursue his interests and goals

- Monday: 2:30pm-5:30pm
- Tuesday: 2:00pm-5:00pm
- Thursday: 12:30pm-4:30pm
- Friday: 2:30pm-5:30pm
- Potentially Sundays: 12:30pm-4:30pm





QSSS hourly rates areWeekday $35.66,Evening $38.30,Night $39.33,Saturday$48.65,Sunday $62.62,PublicHolidays $76.38 -(sorry, rate not negotiable).

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions whererequired, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having theassurance of consistency ofClientsyou support. You have a comprehensive suite ofonline learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

- To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
- Communicate effective and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
- Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs
- Provide support to our Clients as required
- Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
- Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
- Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
- To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

- Resonate with the role description above
- Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
- Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
- Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
- Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
- Current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
