The Senior Planner - Statutory Planning and Environmental Approvals provides high-quality statutory planning, environmentalapprovalsand impact assessment services to support CQG’s Planning and Environmental Approvals Team.You willberesponsible foridentifyingapproval pathways, preparing development and permit applications, coordinating technicalinputsand managing projects frominceptionto determination and, whererequired, post-approval support.

Thisrole will give you theopportunitytoprovidesound technical advice to clients, project managers and other team members, lead small projectteamsand work collaboratively with regulators, clients, subconsultants and community stakeholders.



The role is also expected to understand client requirements andidentifyopportunities for further work.

About you

You will have tertiary qualificationsin Town Planning / Environmental Planning or a related discipline, with experience instatutory planning, environmentalplanningand/or environmental approvals, within a consulting environment.Passionate about the disciplineyou’llbe a member of, or eligibility for membership of, a relevant professional body such as the Planning Institute of Australia or the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand.

Your experience to date will have given you a soundunderstanding of the principles and practices of statutory planning, environmental planning and impact assessmentas well as a strongworking knowledge of relevant Queensland’s planning and environmental legislation, policies and guidelines,in particularthe Planning Act 2016, Environmental Protection Act 1994 and local government planning schemes.

The nature of therole will mean you will have a willingness to travel for project work,including toremote locations and, whererequired, overnight or extended staysand hold a current C Class driver’slicence.
