The Roll Data and Products team sits within the Roll Management and Industrial Events Branch (RMIEB) and is responsible for managing key operational aspects of the roll management program to maintain a complete, accurate and high-integrity electoral roll. The team works closely with other sections within RMIEB, internal stakeholders across the AEC, and external providers and organisations to maintain an independent and impartial electoral system and actively manage the electoral roll.

As a Project Officer, you will work as part of a cooperative and high-performing team to deliver high-quality outcomes for the AEC. You will support the provision and management of electoral roll products for various internal and external stakeholders. You will contribute to the management and delivery of the AEC’s ongoing roll management initiatives including the Continuous Roll Update program and the Federal Direct Enrolment and Update (FDEU) program. You will help maintain productive relationships with external agencies and organisations that support the AEC's core outcomes.

We are seeking a motivated and capable professional who can demonstrate the skills,



knowledge and experience required to perform successfully in this role, including:

- Demonstrated experience in setting priorities, managing competing demands and delivering quality results within agreed timeframes and resource constraints.
- Ability to communicate effectively and build productive stakeholder relationships while responding to diverse needs and expectations across geographically dispersed teams and organisations.
- Experience in interpreting legislation and policy, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to business process or service improvements.
- Proven capacity to achieve results while demonstrating integrity and working within legislative, policy and governance requirements.
- Knowledge of, or ability to quickly gain knowledge of, electoral roll concepts and processes.

Desirable

- Experience in procurement and contract management.
- Experience managing financial budgets and expenses.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly develop and apply knowledge of Australian electoral law and practice.
- Proven capacity to support staff capability development, encourage professional growth and model professional behaviours.

- Any person who is, and seen to be active in political affairs, and intends to publicly carry on this activity, may compromise the strict neutrality of the AEC and cannot be considered.
