Survey Manager - Major Projects Division

Bennett + Bennett is seeking an experienced Survey Manager or a motivated Senior Surveyor ready to step into a Survey Manager role supporting our Toowoomba team and wider FIFO/DIDO major projects. The role will preferably be based in our Toowoomba office; however, we are open to a Brisbane-based arrangement with regular travel to Toowoomba and other project sites to stay connected with site teams. Your Role and Impact:

- Manage project resources, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, clients,



and internal business units to ensure seamless integration of processes, technologies, and training.
- Coordinate Toowoomba-based staff across regional and FIFO/DIDO operations, including Snowy 2.0 and Coal Seam Gas projects. Work closely with other Survey Managers supporting teams in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, and the Sunshine Coast.
- Oversee workforce rostering, travel arrangements, and logistical planning for employees working on major project sites.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to survey staff to maintain accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in project delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities, ensuring clear, consistent communication.
- Review the progress and performance of project teams across the division, assisting Site Survey Managers in resource identification and improvements to delivery systems

What You Bring:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Surveying; registration with the Surveyors Board of Queensland (or another state) highly regarded.
- Strong 12d model knowledge is essential, with broader experience using Trimble and Leica survey equipment highly regarded.
- 10+ years’ experience in range of surveying activities within the Surveying Industry.
- Proficient with range of surveying equipment, sound understanding of methodologies concerning surveying and competency in a range of surveying software packages




- Knowledge of Machine Control Systems and model generation is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
