About the role

Century Venues is seeking an experienced accounts professional to join our team, maintaining accurate records and supporting our finance projects. Setting quarterly and annual goals and reporting to the COO and CFO.

Perform day-to-day bookkeeping duties and end to end accounting cycle for the company, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, Prepare BAS, compliance calculations and general ledger maintenance.

Develope Accounts Standard Operating Processes - SOP'S , and implementing process automation.

Experience in merchant banking facilities, and reconciliations of trust funds with attention to detail.

Skills/Requirements

Solid working knowledge of accounting software, Xero

Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and other online platforms

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to process administrative tasks competently & work independently and as part of a team

Able to work autonomously and solve problems

Daily receivable reconciliation

Trust account reconciliations





Highly competent in Merchant services and related products

Able to meet deadlines and be highly organised

Budget management and reporting skills essential

Produce company accounts statements

Be self motivated and reliable

Desire to learn new tasks and software

Good interpersonal skills both written and oral

Sound knowledge and experience with ATO compliance

What you'll be doing

Preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reports and statements

Support the implementation of new finance projects and processes

Liaise with internal stakeholders and external parties as needed

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies

Provide administrative support to the finance team as required

End to end AR and AP processing

Process daily reconciliations associated with bank reconciliations, merchant settlements , disputed transactions, chargebacks, refunds, etc

Resolve customer disputes and chargebacks in a timely manner

Ensure timely collection of outstanding debts

Management of Funds Held in Trust and associated reconciliations - Daily and Monthly

Accounts Discrepancy solutions

Debtor collections

Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Complete weekly, Monthly, quarterly reconciliations and reporting

Identifying improvements in accounts operations and processes

Reporting to CFO, CEO, COO and Management on a weekly monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Developing Standard Operating Processes - SOP'S , and process automation
