About the role

n

AGL's Renewables team based at the Macarthur Wind Farm are looking for a Wind Turbine Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our wind farms across Victoria, helping deliver AGL's vision for a sustainable future.

n

Location: Based at the Macarthur Wind Farm , located in southwest Victoria, the site consists of 140 wind turbine generators with a total capacity of 420 MW , making it one of the largest wind farms in the Southern Hemisphere and a major contributor to clean, renewable energy generation in Australia.

n

This is a hands‐on technical role focused on maintaining and servicing wind farm assets to ensure reliability, safety, and optimal performance.

What you will be doing

n

n
- Perform routine and breakdown maintenance, servicing, inspection, and monitoring of wind farm assets
n
- Prepare work records and reports, including input into SAP
n
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Setting (HSE) systems and AGL's safety standards
n
- Conduct Hazard Risk Analysis and Job Safety Analysis as required
n




- Ensure compliance with Safe Access Rules and participate in toolbox and safety meetings
n
- Receive Access Authorities and progress to Recipient In Charge (RIC) if required
n
- Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure safe and high‐quality work
n
- Provide and receive on‐the‐job training, mentoring team members to maintain high skill and safety standards
n
- Demonstrate AGL values by collaborating across the business and contributing to overall success
n

What you will bring

n

You're a skilled technician with a electrical background who is passionate about renewable energy and working safely as part of a team.

n

n
- Electrical Trade qualification.
n
- HV certification (preferred but not essential)
n
- Experience working with HV/LV systems, hydraulics, or mechanical systems in industrial, commercial, or residential environments
n
- Understanding of wind farm operations and maintenance that supports safe and efficient performance
n
- Self‐motivated with strong time‐management skills
n
- Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively
n
- Holds a valid Victorian driver's licence
n
- Is comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
n

Additional desirable qualifications:
n GWO training, working at heights, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid.
