Hedweld is seeking an ambitious and commercially focused Finance Manager to lead the financial operations of our Australian and USA entities and drive the next stage of finance transformation across the Group.

This is more than a traditional finance leadership role. We are looking for a hands on leader who can combine strong accounting and manufacturing expertise with a passion for systems, data and automation.

We are now looking for a finance leader who will help us modernise our finance function, enhance commercial decision making and deliver greater business insight across the organisation.

Based at our Mount Thorley facility, you will work closely with the General Manager and senior leaders across the business to strengthen performance, improve reporting capability and build a finance function that supports future growth.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Finance Team while taking ownership of the Group's financial management, reporting, compliance and business partnering activities.

You will play a critical role in evolving our ERP environment, increasing automation and ensuring financial and operational data is accessible, accurate and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance & Commercial Leadership

- Partner with senior leaders to provide meaningful financial and commercial insights.
- Support strategic planning through budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management and scenario modelling.
- Analyse business performance, profitability, margins and working capital to identify opportunities for improvement.




- Develop dashboards and reporting tools that support timely and informed decision making.
- Provide clear recommendations that help operational leaders improve performance and outcomes.

Finance Transformation & Systems

- Support the ongoing development and optimisation of the Group's ERP environment.
- Drive improvements in finance systems, reporting capability and data integrity.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce manual processing.
- Champion best practice finance processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes, including consolidations and management reporting.
- Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks and compliance processes.
- Oversee statutory reporting requirements, taxation obligations and audit activities.
- Manage treasury, banking and foreign currency requirements associated with international operations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Australian accounting, taxation and regulatory requirements.

Manufacturing & Operational Finance

- Lead and further develop manufacturing cost accounting capabilities.
- Monitor inventory, work in progress, product costing and overhead allocation methodologies.
- Improve visibility of operational performance through meaningful financial analysis and reporting.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve cost management and business performance.
- Lead, mentor and develop the Finance Team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Remain actively involved in day to day finance activities when required within a lean and collaborative team environment.

What You'll Bring





- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, with tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
- Strong manufacturing, engineering or operational finance experience, including costing, inventory and business performance analysis.
- Experience managing financial reporting, compliance and controls within a multi-entity environment.
- A track record of improving systems, processes and reporting through technology, automation or ERP development.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to turn financial data into practical business insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands on leadership style with the ability to lead a small team, influence change and deliver results.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite and international operations (highly desirable).
