Within this role you would provide feedback when required on education and therapy programs and participate in the evaluation process relating to the achievement of goals in special education.

Key responsibilities

- As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will under teacher direction, assist in the education programs and in promoting a supportive and inclusive learning setting.
- The role requires an understanding of the diverse needs of students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), including strategies to support communication, sensory regulation, and social interaction.

What you need

- Experience in supporting students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties, and in promoting both academic and social development within the classroom, will be highly regarded.
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
