ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

In this exciting opportunity you will join the St Vincent's Private Hospital Melbourne (SVPHM) team as a Grade 2 Physiotherapist in our acute Physiotherapy department at the East Melbourne campus. This role is permanent part-time position 3-4 days per week (negotiable) & will include Saturday. In this role you will bring your passion & expertise where you will work with a dedicated team of experienced Physiotherapist's to support the service provision of excellent patient-centred care for a mostly orthopaedic clinical caseload. The role includes some non-clinical opportunities, such as supervision of junior staff and students, participation in department's quality improvement projects & as a contributor on matters relating to acute Physiotherapy management within the hospital.

ABOUT YOU:

As an outstanding Grade 2 Physiotherapist, you are a competent team member in orthopaedic clinical practice & able to deliver safe, high-quality patient-centred care. You have highly developed interpersonal skills, are a capable problem solver with ability to work flexibly within a team & prioritise competing tasks in a timely manner. You are enthusiastic, dedicated, adaptable and friendly with a philosophy of continual improvement and evidence based practice.

- Minimum of 4 years post graduate physiotherapy experience
- Effective management of a mostly orthopaedic clinical caseload
- Prioritisation and workload allocation
- Safe and effective discharge planning




- Demonstrated commitment to development and continuing education
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting

REQUIREMENTS:

Criminal record and/or child protection checks will be conducted and will form part of the selection criteria for this role. SVPHM has a duty of care under work health and safety legislation to eliminate and/or control the risk of transmission of vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) in healthcare settings. You are therefore required to comply with the SVHA Staff Health Screening Immunisation Policy, which, depending on the role you perform in the organisation will require you to undergo mandatory immunisations/vaccinations.
