Over this time, our team has developed a reputation that offers clients a consistently reliable service. As we are expanding our team, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver & Yard Hand to join our busy team. This position is based in the Port of Brisbane precinct in Lytton.

This is a hands-on and varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing the job properly and can adapt to changing tasks. At Bloomer Transport, no two days are the same.

Qualifications & experience

- Proven forklift experience, particularly loading and unloading containers and trucks
- Experience safely securing vehicles and cargo for transport or export
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- A highly reliable and dependable work ethic
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
- Understanding of Load Restraint Guide
- The ability to undertake physical and manual work




- A flexible attitude and willingness to assist across a range of duties

Tasks & responsibilities

- Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading shipping containers
- Loading/securing cargo and unloading trucks of all sizes
- Loading and securely restraining vehicles inside containers
- Packing containers for export
- Washing and preparing cargo in our wash bay
- Assisting with general yard duties and housekeeping
- Using grinders, drills, high-pressure washers and basic hand tools
- Following workplace health and safety procedures
- Completing other duties as required, such as yard cleanliness as required
