Veterinary Specialist Services - Jindalee QLD

Veterinary Specialist Services is an established Small Animal referral practice in South East Queensland. We have hospitals at Carrara, Jindalee, and Underwood. We are striving to create an environment where people can do their best work. Our teams are very passionate about delivering patient care and support each other to do it. We have a very diverse skill set and can offer just about all specialities, diagnostic modalities, and therapies across our practice group. We have residency training programs for vets, in house training programs for nurses and internships where many of our interns have progressed to become registered Specialists. We are involved in the industry with wide participation in professional groups, universities, continuing education courses and we run our own annual conference.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and compassionate Client Care Officer to join our team at Veterinary Specialist Services Jindalee.

As one of the first points of contact for our clients and referring veterinary practices, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience. You will work closely with our veterinary specialists, nurses and wider hospital team to ensure appointments, communication and daily hospital operations run smoothly.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

- Welcoming clients and patients to the hospital
- Managing incoming telephone calls, emails and client enquiries
- Coordinating specialist consultations, procedures and follow-up appointments
- Maintaining accurate client and patient records




- Processing payments and assisting with consent forms, accounts and insurance documentation
- Communicating with referring veterinary practices
- Supporting clients with compassion during stressful or emotional situations
- Working closely with our clinical teams to support patient and client flow throughout the hospital
- Assisting with general reception and administrative duties

What We're Looking For

- Previous experience in customer service, reception or administration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence using computer systems and completing accurate data entry
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- A calm, compassionate and professional approach to client care
- Confidence handling payments and sensitive conversations
- Previous experience in a veterinary, medical or healthcare environment
- An understanding of veterinary terminology and hospital processes
