The Role

We are looking for a creative, confident and highly proactive Social Media Coordinator to take ownership of Ozdare's social media strategy and lead all things social across our business and brand portfolio.

This role goes well beyond scheduling content. You'll be responsible for shaping how Ozdare and our brands show up socially developing the strategy, identifying opportunities, generating ideas and turning what's happening across our salons, artists, education, events and wider industry into engaging content.

We're looking for someone with natural initiative who will make things happen. You'll confidently pick up the phone to a salon and organise a shoot, connect with our stylists and artists, spot opportunities to collaborate, and grab a microphone at one of our events and start talking to people. You won't wait for the content to come to you you'll go out and find it.

Responsibilities

- Lead and continually evolve Ozdare's social media strategy, identifying opportunities to grow our audiences, engagement and industry presence.
- Own the day-to-day social direction and content calendars across Ozdare and our portfolio of brands.




- Proactively develop fresh content ideas, campaigns and social opportunities rather than relying solely on supplied brand content.
- Create engaging social-first content across Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, including Reels, interviews, behind-the-scenes and event content.
- Build relationships with salons, stylists, artists and educators and proactively organise shoots, collaborations and content opportunities.
- Be Ozdare's social presence at launches, education sessions, fashion and industry events, confidently capturing content and interviewing guests and talent.
- Work with freelance photographers, videographers and content creators where required.
- Lead community management across our channels, including comments, messages, tags and relevant industry conversations.
- Stay ahead of social trends and what's happening across the professional hair, beauty and fashion industries and translate those insights into ideas for Ozdare.
- Analyse social performance and provide monthly reporting, insights and recommendations on what's working, what's not and what we should do next.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Education to ensure social supports broader brand and business objectives.
- Assist at company-sponsored events as required. Please note some events are held outside normal business hours and interstate.

About You

- You live and breathe social media and have a genuine interest in hair,



beauty, fashion or other creative industries.
- You're proactive, curious and full of ideasyou're someone who sees an opportunity and acts on it.
- You're confident approaching people, starting conversations and building relationships with salons, stylists, talent and industry partners.
- You're comfortable both behind the camera and picking up a microphone to interview someone when the opportunity arises.
- You understand what makes great social content and aren't afraid to test new ideas.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, algorithms and social best practice.
- Proven experience creating content that drives awareness, engagement and community.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple brands, projects and deadlines.
- Strong understanding of social analytics and how insights should inform strategy.
- A great communicator and collaborative team member.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience within hair, beauty, fashion or lifestyle would be highly regarded.
