Experience Broken Hill is looking for an experienced Park Manager to take responsibility for Outback View Holiday Park and Away Cottages.
Outback View Holiday Park comprises 20 cabins and 130 sites, with significant investment already made in renovating cabins, improving facilities and lifting the overall presentation of the property.
The portfolio also includes our Away Cottages, providing additional accommodation within Broken Hill.
There's plenty to be proud of, but there's also genuine work still to do. We're looking for a Manager who sees that as an prospect.
About us
Experience Broken Hill is a family-owned accommodation business with 28 years of industry experience.
We're family owned and professionally operated. We continue to reinvest in our properties, systems and people and believe our managers should have the tools, support and clear expectations they need to get results.
You’ll work closely with the Owners while taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and performance of your properties.
What you'll be responsible for
You’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day operation and overall performance of Outback View Holiday Park and Away Cottages, including:
- Revenue, occupancy and commercial performance
- Budget management, wages and financial performance
- Front office, reservations and guest experience
- Team leadership, recruitment, rostering and performance
- Housekeeping and accommodation presentation
- Grounds,
facilities and maintenance standards
- WHS, compliance and operational reporting
- Developing and supporting your team
- Identifying opportunities to improve presentation, revenue and guest experience
- Working with the Owners on continued property improvements
A Manager who's comfortable being hands‑on
Outback View has a quieter pace and a different, more relaxed guest base than Broken Hill Tourist Park.
Significant investment has already gone into improving and renovating the property, and the results show. However, we’re not finished.
We’re looking for a switched‑on Manager who’s comfortable being visible and hands‑on during this next stage.
You’ll need to be able to roll up your sleeves when required, keep lifting presentation and standards, and lead your team by example, while still maintaining control of the numbers, people and overall performance of the business.
A quieter park doesn’t mean a lighter management role. It creates an opportunity for the right person to genuinely influence where this property goes next.
The person we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone with demonstrated experience leading people and taking responsibility for operational outcomes.
You’ll be practical, organised and comfortable moving between managing the business and being visible across the property.
You’ll know how to build a positive team culture, set clear expectations and maintain high standards.
Previous holiday park, caravan park, resort, motel, hotel or accommodation management experience will be highly regarded.
One management team
You’ll work closely with our Senior Park Manager at Broken Hill Tourist Park and Sturt Motel.
Dedicated after‑hours support is already in place across the business. As part of the management team, you’ll provide after‑hours coverage when the usual after‑hours team member is on scheduled days off or annual leave.
Our managers also support each other across days off and annual leave, helping provide continuity across the properties while ensuring each Manager can take proper time away from the business.
While you’ll have responsibility for your own portfolio, you’ll be part of one Experience Broken Hill management team.
Broken Hill is a proud, close‑knit community in the heart of the Australian outback.
It’s a remarkable place to live and work, but we’re also upfront about remote living. Broken Hill is around 1,100 kilometres from Sydney and more than 500 kilometres from Adelaide.
This opportunity will particularly suit someone who has previously lived or worked regionally or remotely, or who genuinely understands what making that move involves.
What’s on offer
- Base salary of $80,000 to $90,000, depending on experience
- Superannuation
- Performance‑based KPI bonus opportunities
- Rent‑free on‑site three‑bedroom manager’s residence
- Electricity, water and gas included
- Vehicle provided for business use
