J&D; Contracting is a highly respected Brisbane-based construction company delivering building, maintenance, repair, renovation and refurbishment services across residential, commercial and government projects.

We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor/Leading Hand to take responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of multiple renovation and refurbishment projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who is confident managing trades, subcontractors, site activities and project priorities, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and workmanship.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will lead site teams and coordinate day-to-day construction activities from start through to completion.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supervise and coordinate daily site activities across multiple renovation and refurbishment projects.

- Lead and manage trades, subcontractors and site personnel.

- Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, on time and to a high standard.

- Coordinate trades, materials, deliveries and site requirements.





- Monitor project progress and communicate updates, issues and requirements to the Project Manager.

- Assist with programming, scheduling and maintaining project timelines.

- Identify and resolve site issues before they impact project delivery.

- Ensure workmanship meets company, client and project standards.

- Maintain clean, organised and professional worksites.

- Uphold and enforce all WHS/OHS requirements and site safety procedures.

- Work hands-on, on the tools, when required and lead by example.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced construction professional who has demonstrated Site Supervisor or leading hand experience, particularly within renovation, refurbishment, maintenance or fit-out environments.

You will ideally have:

- Proven experience supervising construction sites and managing trades and subcontractors.

- A strong background in carpentry or the broader construction industry.

- Cert III in Carpentry or relevant construction qualification.

- Previous experience delivering renovation and refurbishment projects.

- Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing and site coordination.

- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.





- A strong eye for detail and pride in quality workmanship.

- The ability to read plans, coordinate trades and understand project requirements.

- A current White Card and strong understanding of WHS/OHS requirements.

- A proactive, reliable and professional approach to managing projects and people.
