First In Caring is a growing care services business providing in-home and community-based support to individuals, including participants under the NDIS and older Australians receiving aged care services. We are seeking a full-time Community Worker (Support Worker) to join our team.

Salary

$79,423 per annum + Superannuation (minimum), plus applicable penalties and allowances.

About the Role

This full time position involves delivering person-centred support to clients in their homes and within the community. You will assist clients to maintain independence, improve wellbeing, and engage in everyday activities. The role includes providing support with activities of daily living, personal care, and domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and general household tasks, in addition to facilitating community access and social participation.

Key Responsibilities

Assess clients’ needs and assist in planning and delivering support services

Provide emotional, social, and practical assistance in home and community settings

Support clients with activities of daily living, including personal care

Assist clients with community participation and social engagement

Monitor, document, and report on client progress





Liaise with families, carers, and external service providers

Refer clients to appropriate services where additional support is required

Maintain accurate records in line with organisational and funding requirements

About You

Experience in disability, aged care, or community services

Relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or similar)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently and within a team

Understanding of client-directed care principles

Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

Current Working with Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

Current First Aid and CPR

Full-time position (38 hours per week)

Ongoing employment

Melbourne-based role with travel to client locations
