About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop their skills in the area of Rehabilitation Nursing, whilst working in a collaborative environment, and promoting enablement and independence for their patients. This position would suit a Registered Nurse with recent clinical experience, who is looking to further develop their career in Rehabilitation Nursing.

Bathurst Health Service: Bathurst Hospital is located 3 hours west of Sydney over the Blue Mountains. It is a University City, has good transport services throughout the city, buses, trains and airplanes with regular connections to Sydney then interstate. Large sporting complexes, great restaurants, recreational activities and facilities.

The Rehabilitation Ward is a busy 16 bed with 4 Residential Transitional Aged Care Beds as well as an Independent Living Unit. The Ward is co-located with Bathurst Hospital and is managed by a solid Multidisciplinary team as well as being supported by Allied Health. The hospital has an ED, Level 4 ICU, Level 4 Maternity services, Paediatrics services, Medical unit with telemetry and palliative care beds, 15 Bed Surgical ward, large inpatient and outpatient Allied Health support and expanding Ambulatory Care and HITH services. Educational support is available to staff, enthusiastic and supportive team on the ward, looking for interested and keen staff member to join our team.
