Centre Manager – Maitland Indoor Sports Centre

Maitland Indoor Sports Centre has been a part of the local community for many years, bringing people together through busy competition nights, packed courts and plenty of action. With Inflatable World on Weekends, there’s always something happening, creating a vibrant destination for players, families and the wider community.

We’re a quick-paced, high-energy venue, and we’re looking for a Centre Manager who can match that energy. Someone who is hands‑on, loves working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in creating a great experience for our customers and community.

About the role

We're looking for a high-performing Centre Manager with a track record of leading teams to real results. This isn't a desk job. You'll be driving sales, holding a team accountable to KPIs, and keeping the wheels turning across two brands under one roof. You'll report directly to the General Manager and take full ownership of KPIs and people – performance, culture, and results.

Key responsibilities

- Leading and managing a team of senior and junior staff, plus umpire crew

- Owning sales and customer-facing performance - conversions, retention, and service standards

- Running day-to-day operations: stock, fixtures, complaints, repairs and maintenance (within budget)





- Managing enquiries and sales across both Inflatable World and Sports Centre - sponsors, registrations, customer retention

- Overseeing socials - responding directly or delegating content

- Driving performance management across the team, including tough conversations when needed

About you

- Proven high performer - a track record of leading a team of high performers and consistently hitting targets, not just managing a roster

- Proven sales background - commission-based experience in gym, sports, or door-to-door sales strongly preferred

- Team leadership experience - you've managed a mixed team of senior and junior staff before

- Confident and outgoing - a genuine people person who can build rapport fast

- Can hold the line - comfortable setting standards, giving feedback, and managing performance issues

- Strong computer skills - confident with Microsoft 365 and CRM systems

- Available - full-time, 38 hours/week: Monday to Thursday, between an 8am and 8pm window, with alternating 1 weekend shift depending on business needs (e.g. 1x Sat and 1x Sun over a fortnight) between a window of 7am and 7pm
