Make a meaningful contribution to the quality and delivery of community palliative care
About the role
The Clinical Quality Coordinator will work across Cittamani's Clinical Services areas, providing specialist clinical quality and governance support to clinical managers and teams. This role will be performed both within an office-based environment and community setting, and encompasses direct and indirect clinical responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Providing specialist clinical quality and practice advice to clinical managers and nursing staff
- Providing direct clinical nursing care within a community palliative care setting
- Coordinating clinical accreditation requirements against the ACSQHC Primary and Community Healthcare Standards
- Coordinating clinical audits, compliance activities and quality improvement actions across the service
- Supporting the development, implementation and review of clinical policies, procedures and practice improvements
- Coordinating mandatory clinical education and supporting ongoing clinical capability
- Monitoring clinical equipment integrity and compliance
- Providing senior clinical support to Clinical Nurses where additional experience, knowledge or clinical perspective is required
- Supporting office-based nursing coordination and day-to-day service operations
- Participation in on-call arrangements within the Nursing Services roster
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated advanced experience in palliative and end-of-life care
- Strong clinical assessment, care planning and symptom management skills
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and clinical compliance
- Experience in clinical auditing, accreditation, quality improvement or service development
- Ability to coordinate improvement initiatives and support implementation of change across clinical teams
- Ability to contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and procedures
- Strong communication, consultation, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Sound digital literacy and clinical documentation skills
