The role:
- Process day-to-day transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations for clients across multiple industries
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS statements, and processing of payroll
- Assist in preparing financial reports for accountants and clients
- Ensure compliance with ATO requirements and deadlines
- Support client queries and provide high-quality service in a timely manner
- Collaborate with accountants to deliver accurate financial information for tax and advisory purposes
- Utilise cloud accounting platforms (e.g. Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and ensure files are kept up to date
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency for clients and the firm
What we're looking for:
- 2+ years prior experience in public practice bookkeeping, or a bookkeeping role handling multiple clients
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to offer alternative solutions
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Be a team player, contributing ideas to improve quality and outcomes
- Confident speaking with clients to provide commercial solutions that add real value
- Manages workloads, deadlines, and priorities effectively
