About the Role

Join the team at St Kilda Penguins and play a vital role in connecting visitors with one of Victoria's most iconic wildlife experiences. As a Visitor Experience Guide, you'll bring the story of the Little Penguin colony to life by delivering engaging and memorable interactions that educate, inspire, and delight visitors.

Through storytelling, interpretation, and exceptional customer service, you'll help guests understand the importance of protecting Little Penguins and their unique coastal habitat. Every interaction is an opportunity to inspire greater awareness and encourage positive action for conservation.

About you

The Benefits





- Work in the evenings - leaving your days free for work life balance
- Part - time - rate $32.91 per hour inclusive of hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays & 25% casual loading
- Casual rate - $41.14 per hour inclusive of hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays
- 7-day roster (Monday to Sunday) & public holidays

Key Selection Criteria

- Previous experience in visitor engagement, and customer service duties within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to provide high quality visitor experiences, interpretation, tours and information to a diverse range of visitors including non-English speaking visitors.
- Proven ability to de-escalate and resolve conflict
- Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team




- Demonstrated communication and problem-solving skills
- Possess an understanding of OH&S; and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures
- Experience in guiding in a Tourism setting (highly desirable)
- An interest in Conservation and the Marine workplace (highly desirable)
