Position Overview
The Recruitment Team Coach is responsible for coaching, developing and supporting Indigeco's recruitment team while overseeing recruitment delivery across key accounts.
This is a hands-on role combining recruiter coaching, recruitment delivery and key account management. The primary focus is to develop Recruitment Consultants, improve individual and team performance, and ensure consistently high-quality recruitment outcomes.
The Recruitment Team Coach will work closely with consultants on live roles, providing practical coaching across sourcing, candidate engagement, job management, prioritisation and client delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, train and develop Recruitment Consultants to improve capability, confidence and performance.
- Conduct regular one-on-one coaching, job reviews and development sessions with recruiters.
- Provide hands-on coaching across sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, screening, submissions and job management.
- Identify individual capability gaps and provide targeted coaching and development support.
- Manage recruitment delivery across allocated key accounts and maintain strong client relationships.
- Allocate and prioritise vacancies across the team and monitor delivery, pipelines and outcomes.
- Review candidate submissions and coach consultants to continuously improve quality.
- Provide hands-on recruitment support and personally manage recruitment activity where required.
- Oversee candidate onboarding, pre-employment checks and client-specific compliance requirements.
- Maintain oversight of active contractors, including extensions, changes and offboarding.
- Conduct regular team, job and pipeline reviews to identify delivery challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure recruitment and contractor information is accurately maintained within relevant systems.
- Monitor recruitment performance and use relevant metrics to identify opportunities to improve individual and team delivery.
- Build a collaborative, accountable and high-performing recruitment culture focused on continuous improvement.
Key Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years' recruitment experience, preferably within an agency, Talent Aquisition or high-volume recruitment environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and mentoring recruitment teams to improve capability, performance and outcomes.
- Proven ability to deliver hands‑on team training, with team training experience being mandatory.
- Strong experience managing high-volume recruitment campaigns, multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
- Strong hands‑on recruitment capability across sourcing, screening, candidate engagement, submissions, placements and onboarding.
- Ability to identify recruiter capability gaps and provide practical, individualised coaching and development plans.
- Strong understanding of sourcing strategies and the ability to coach recruiters on different approaches to identifying and engaging talent.
- Experience conducting job, pipeline and performance reviews and using recruitment metrics to improve delivery and team performance.
- Strong key account and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
- Commercially astute with strong business acumen, including an understanding of agent recruitment delivery, productivity, service levels and growth opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building and communication skills.
- Confident communicator who can provide clear, constructive feedback and lead performance-focused conversations.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify and resolve recruitment delivery challenges.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership and make sound decisions.
- Results-driven with a genuine passion for developing people and building confident, accountable and high-performing recruiters.
- Previous formal people management experience is advantageous but not essential. We are equally interested in experienced recruiters who have demonstrated a robust ability to coach, mentor, train and develop others.
