This organisation designs, manufactures and supports mission systems for the Australian Defence Force and international allied customers, including in the United States.

The Opportunity

n

This role exists to support the integration, test and set-to-work of mission systems.

n

You'll sit within the Engineering department, working closely with fellow engineers rather than as a lone operator.

n

The role is genuinely hands‐on, with access to

n

n
- Field exposure, travelling to Australian and US sites 10-12 weeks a year to work directly on fielded systems
n
- Close, hands‐on work with mission systems technology, not just documentation from behind a desk
n
- Broad exposure across both integration facility works and real‐world fielded environments
n
- Working alongside a close‐knit specialist engineering team, with direct access to subject matter experts
n
- Structured in‐house training and upskilling on proprietary systems and field support requirements
n

The Role

n

As the Field Integration Support Officer, you'll coordinate the integration, test and set‐to‐work of mission systems in fielded locations and within the integration facility.

n

You'll be:

n

n
- Supporting the integration and test of mission systems
n
- Producing accurate test reports and system documentation in line with Defence protocols
n




- Working with other engineers to set up appropriate network infrastructure ahead of system deployment and within the fielded environment
n
- Acting proactively as the subject matter expert for the set‐to‐work and ongoing support of systems in the fielded setting, engaging with external stakeholders
n
- Supporting system trials where required
n
- Undertaking in‐house training and upskilling on proprietary products and field support requirements
n

You bring sound technical skills, a proactive approach to stakeholder engagement, and you're genuinely willing to travel for the work rather than seeing it as a drawback.

You will bring the following skills and experience:

- Sound knowledge of the Defence setting
n
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results by managing workflow, setting priorities and meeting deadlines
n
- Experience leading or contributing to the routine maintenance and operational support of fielded systems
n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills across technical and non‐technical audiences
n

Salary / Rate

n

n
- $101k – $130k + Super
n
- Permanent, full‐time position
n
- On‐site, Canberra based
n
- Requires travel to Australian and US field sites for approximately 10-12 weeks per year
n
