The Supply Chain Coordinator keeps the flow of materials, inventory and orders moving smoothly across Colquhoun's operations. This role sits at the centre of purchasing, logistics and inventory management, coordinating with suppliers, carriers and internal teams to ensure the right products arrive in the right place, at the right time and at the right cost.

The Supply Chain Coordinator works closely with suppliers, freight carriers, warehouse staff and the Demand Planning team, and works within the Supply Chain team to support the Supply Chain Manager's accountability for on-time delivery, inventory accuracy and supplier performance.

In addition to day-to-day order and shipment coordination, this role plays a key part in:

- Improving supplier performance and on-time delivery through disciplined tracking and follow-up.
- Reducing costs and lead times through stronger purchasing and logistics coordination.
- Maintaining accurate, reliable data in the ERP/inventory system to support confident decision-making.

Key responsibilities

- Place and track purchase orders, confirming pricing, quantities and delivery dates with suppliers.

- Manage and measure supplier KPIs.

- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers and freight forwarders, and resolve delivery issues as they arise.

- Maintain accurate records in the ERP/inventory system (orders, receipts, stock counts, supplier data).

- Communicate daily with suppliers, warehouse staff and internal teams to keep orders on schedule.

- Track shipments and proactively follow up on delays, discrepancies or damaged goods.

- Support demand planning by sharing usage trends and forecast inputs with the planning team.





- Process invoices and reconcile them against purchase orders and receiving documents.

- Help maintain quality and compliance standards across the supply chain.

- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, cut lead times and improve processes.

- Prepare routine reports on inventory, on-time delivery and supplier performance.

- Drive continuous improvement in purchasing, logistics and inventory coordination processes.

What we're looking for:

Required

- 1-3 years' experience in supply chain, logistics, procurement or inventory coordination.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel) and familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of shipping, customs or freight processes

Preferred

- APICS / CSCP / CLTD certification (or working toward one) is an advantage.
