What you'll do
n
As a Casual Relief Teacher, you'll step into different classrooms and provide a safe, positive and engaging learning environment.
n
Your responsibilities may include:
n
n
- Delivering lessons and programs provided by the classroom teacher
n
- Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
n
- Supporting student learning, wellbeing and daily routines
n
- Adapting quickly to different year levels, subjects and school environments
n
- Following school policies, procedures and duty-of-care requirements
n
- Communicating professionally with school staff
n
n
What we're looking for
n
You must have:
n
n
- Current VIT registration – mandatory
n
- Primary or Secondary teaching experience
n
- Strong classroom management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
n
- Ability to adapt quickly and confidently
n
- Commitment to student safety and wellbeing
n
- Two qualified education references, including a recent school-based referee
n
