BL Plumbing and Excavation Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Apprentice (2nd-4th year), Journeyman or Tradesman to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop or advance your career in the plumbing trade.

Whether you are beginning your apprenticeship, completing your journeyman qualification, or are an experienced tradesman, we welcome applications from candidates at all levels of the trade. Work is predominantly with current home construction within Canberra, contributing to the quality service and reputation that BL Plumbing and Excavation has built in the region.

Key responsibilities

Installing plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures and fittings in residential homes.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing issues and providing effective solutions

Reading and interpreting plumbing plans, blueprints and technical drawings

Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, regulations and safety standards

Using a range of plumbing tools and equipment safely and effectively

Working collaboratively with team members and other trades on job sites

For apprentices: undertaking formal training and on-the-job learning under the guidance of experienced tradesperson.

What we're looking for

Current or in-progress plumbing apprenticeship, journeyman qualification, or equivalent trade experience

Sound knowledge of plumbing practices, materials and techniques relevant to Australian standards

Understanding of and commitment to health and safety regulations and best practices





Ability to work accurately and efficiently, paying attention to detail

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical fitness and ability to perform manual work in varying conditions

Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with a willingness to learn

Valid driver's licence and access to reliable transportation

Current working rights in Australia

Preferred: experience in both residential and commercial plumbing work
