Part-Time Physiotherapist
Fitrme Health | Hoppers Crossing, Victoria
Company Description
Fitrme is an independent health, fitness and performance business based in Hoppers Crossing, Melbourne’s western suburbs, founded and owned by Eddie and Vesna Hanger.
Everything we do is built around one simple philosophy:
YOU MATTER.
Fitrme has grown beyond a traditional fitness studio into an integrated health, performance and inclusive movement setting.
Across Fitrme, Fitrme Health, Fitrme Performance and Unlocking My Ability, we work with everyday adults, young people, athletes, sporting clubs, families and people living with disability.
Our services include strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, athlete development, performance testing, youth programs, inclusive exercise and community-based health initiatives.
Through Fitrme Health, our goal is to create stronger links between physiotherapy, rehabilitation, exercise and long-term physical wellbeing.
We believe treatment should not operate in isolation. Where appropriate, our Physiotherapists can work alongside coaches, exercise professionals and other allied health practitioners to help clients move from injury or limitation through rehabilitation and back into exercise, sport and everyday life.
We are building a multidisciplinary environment focused on professional standards, collaboration, measurable outcomes and genuine care for the individual.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and client-focused Part-Time Physiotherapist to join the growing Fitrme Health team.
This role is based primarily at our Hoppers Crossing facility and is suited to a Physiotherapist who enjoys working in a practical, active and collaborative environment.
The position will initially be part-time, with the opportunity for additional hours to develop as the Fitrme Health client base continues to grow.
We are particularly interested in someone who wants to become part of a growing organisation and contribute to the development of the service rather than simply work independently from a treatment room.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client base including general musculoskeletal clients, active adults, young people, athletes, sporting club participants and, where appropriate, people living with disability.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physiotherapist with Fitrme Health, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive physiotherapy assessments
- Identifying movement limitations, injuries and rehabilitation requirements
- Developing individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans
- Providing evidence-based physiotherapy treatment
- Delivering hands-on treatment where clinically appropriate
- Designing and progressing exercise-based rehabilitation programs
- Supporting clients through injury recovery and return to activity
- Developing return-to-running, return-to-training and return-to-sport pathways
- Supporting clients with strength, mobility and functional movement development
- Educating clients regarding injury management, recovery and prevention
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as required
- Working collaboratively with coaches, exercise professionals and allied health practitioners
- Communicating with families, support teams and other health professionals where appropriate
- Maintaining accurate, professional and timely clinical documentation
- Participating in team meetings and multidisciplinary discussions
- Contributing to the ongoing development of Fitrme Health programs and services
- Supporting community, sporting club and performance initiatives where appropriate
About You
We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable and genuinely interested in helping people achieve meaningful outcomes.
You will be comfortable working independently while also recognising the value of collaboration.
You should enjoy working with people, communicating clearly and building long-term professional relationships with clients.
The successful candidate will ideally be someone who:
- Takes a client-centred approach
- Communicates confidently and professionally
- Is proactive rather than waiting to be directed
- Values teamwork and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Has strong clinical reasoning
- Understands exercise-based rehabilitation
- Is comfortable working in an active gym and performance environment
- Enjoys developing relationships with clients
- Takes pride in professional documentation and follow-up
- Is interested in helping grow a developing allied health service
- Shares our commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s qualification in Physiotherapy
- Current AHPRA registration as a Physiotherapist
- Appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Strong clinical assessment and rehabilitation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Strong professional documentation standards
- Commitment to evidence-based, ethical and safe physiotherapy practice
Depending on the client groups being supported, appropriate screening such as a Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required.
Highly Regarded Experience
Experience or a strong interest in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
- Sports physiotherapy
- Sports injury management
- Strength and conditioning
- Exercise-based rehabilitation
- Return-to-sport rehabilitation
- Youth athlete development
- Running-related injuries
- Performance rehabilitation
- Working with sporting clubs

Why Join Fitrme Health?
This is not simply a position where you sit in a treatment room and see one client after another.
Fitrme Health is being developed as part of a broader health and performance environment where physiotherapy can connect with rehabilitation, exercise and physical development.
You will have access to an environment that includes strength and conditioning facilities, rehabilitation equipment and performance-development resources.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside a growing team and contribute ideas to how the Fitrme Health service develops.
For the right person, this represents an opportunity to help build something rather than simply step into an established clinic model.
