Simba Car Hire is a fast-growing, customer-focused vehicle rental company based in Brisbane. We pride ourselves on providing reliable, well-maintained vehicles to locals and visitors. We’re expanding our workshop team and are looking for an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in high-quality work and enjoys being part of a friendly, supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Light Vehicle Mechanic with Simba Car Hire, you will play a key role in keeping our rental fleet safe, reliable, and ready for the road. Your day-to-day work will include:
- Servicing and maintaining light vehicles (scheduled and unscheduled)
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
- Conducting safety inspections and roadworthy checks
- Performing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
- Maintaining service records and ensuring workshop cleanliness
- Working closely with the operations team to prioritise urgent jobs
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in vehicle servicing and repairs
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with fleet or rental vehicles (advantage but not essential)
