We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major oil & gas project, supporting construction execution, commercial assurance, and productivity analysis across field-based operations in the Surat Basin.

This role will work closely with construction, project controls, contract management, and contractor teams, providing independent verification of quantities, progress, productivity, and commercial performance to support project delivery outcomes.

Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a major oil & gas project, supporting construction execution, commercial assurance, and productivity analysis across field-based operations in the Surat Basin.

This role will work closely with construction, project controls, contract management, and contractor teams, providing independent verification of quantities, progress, productivity, and commercial performance to support project delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Verify contractor progress, quantities, timesheets, and construction reports against actual site activities.

- Conduct field-based quantity measurements and progress validation across construction works.

- Assess contractor productivity, identifying trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.

- Review schedules and progress performance, highlighting risks, delays, and critical path impacts.

- Support commercial assurance activities, including claim validation, variations, and contract compliance.

- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting for project leadership teams.

- Benchmark productivity against industry standards and historical performance data.

- Participate in site walks, progress reviews, and construction meetings.





- Build strong relationships with project stakeholders, field teams, and contractors to drive successful project outcomes.

About You

- 5-10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Control, Commercial, or Project Controls within Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, Infrastructure, or Construction environments.

- Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial management principles.

- Experience working with unit rate, lump sum, and reimbursable contracts.

- Exposure to pipeline, gathering network, or linear infrastructure projects highly regarded.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel and cost tracking skills.

- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication abilities.

- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary site-based teams.
