Exciting things are happening at Austin Group. We are entering a significant period of growth and transformation and are seeking an exceptional General Manager – Strategy & Transformation to help shape what comes next.

Reporting directly to the CEO and joining the Executive Team, you will own the Group's strategy and establish and lead our new Transformation Office. You will drive a multi-year program across our commercial, customer, operational and digital agenda, with AI as a key enabler.

This is a rare opportunity to move beyond advising on strategy to owning its execution—turning ambitious ideas into measurable outcomes across a growing Australian retail group.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the Group's strategy and annual strategic planning process.
n
- Establish and lead the Transformation Office, including governance, reporting, benefits realisation and the transformation roadmap.
n
- Lead strategic analysis, business cases and recommendations for the Executive Team and Board.
n
- Drive priority transformation initiatives across multiple functions.
n
- Partner with the CTO to identify and embed AI-enabled opportunities.
n
- Own the Executive Team scorecard and performance-reporting framework.
n
- Lead change and communication strategies that build engagement and deliver sustainable outcomes.
n
- Build a high-performing team and strengthen accountability,



continuous improvement and data-led decision-making across the Group.

About You

n

You will bring:

- Senior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy or transformation.
n
- Robust retail or consumer-sector knowledge.
n
- Proven success leading complex transformation programs and cross-functional initiatives.
n
- Exceptional commercial, financial-modelling and strategic problem-solving capabilities.
n
- An understanding of AI and its practical application within retail and customer-focused businesses.
n
- Excellent Executive and Board-level communication skills.
n
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead without direct authority.
n
- A commercially minded, curious and outcomes-focused leadership style.
