Alfabs Mining is growing — and we're looking for experiencedElectrical and Mechanical Field Service Technicianswho know their way around underground mining equipment and aren't interested in spending every day doing the same thing.

n

BasedDIDOfromEmerald, Mackay or Rockhampton,QLDwhereyou'll hit the road and head underground, supporting customers across Queensland with diagnostics, breakdowns, repairs, rebuilds and commissioning of specialisedunderground mining, material handling and face machinery.

THE ROLE

n

This isn't a workshop-only role. You'll be out where the equipment earns its keep — providing hands‐on technical support across underground coal mining operations. You'll work across specialised equipment, tackle complex faults and work alongside experienced electrical and mechanical trades to keep our customers moving.

Expect to get involved in:

n

n
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults on underground mining equipment
n
- Planned maintenance,



preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
n
- Emergency field service call‐outs when the pressure is on
n
- Supporting coal cutting and face machinery underground
n
- Equipment rebuilds, refurbishment, assembly and commissioning
n
- Installing, testing and commissioning electrical components and control systems
n
- Conducting pre‐start checks, inspections and statutory testing
n
- Reading and working from schematics, engineering drawings and scopes of work
n
- Building strong relationships with customer and site teams
n
- Getting the job donesafely, properly and professionally
n

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

n

We're looking for tradespeople who know their stuff, back themselves and work well when the job gets challenging.

n

You'll need:

n

n
- Relevant Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification
n
- Underground coal mining field service experience
n
- Extensive experience in Coal Cutting / Face Machinery
n
- Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic capability
n
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings and scopes
n
- A serious commitment to safety
n
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to get stuck in
n




- Good communication skills and the ability to deal confidently with customers
n
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a crew
n
- Willingness to travel
n
- Flexibility to work overtime when the job requires it
n
- Current Drivers Licence
n

- Current Coal Board Medical

- Broad experience across underground coal mining and face machinery
